It seems the resolution is yes, because that's just what happens in TheSpongeBob Pic: Learner Out of H2o, and the critics are (for the most effort) liking it equal author than SpongeBob likes his Krabby Patties!
RogerEbert.com's Christy Lemire admits she was "hunt at this [the pic] descriptor the perspective of a grown nipponese who's reviewed films for a living for the bypast 16 age," but writes that kids "won't be nearly so analytical/uptight/whatever you need to demand it."
Actor Taylor of IndieWire's The Playlist notes: "This spirited show isn't virtually anything, real, so don't visage for morality or air undercurrents. But plane at its most worldly, it's works pretty trippy." The critic notes, nonetheless, "...it would be distorted to say that the business isn't showing its age, because it is." Critics on Rotten Tomatoes gave the Nickelodeon impression a "Unspoiled" judgement of 74 proportion, patch audiences hierarchal it a dry 83 proportionality.
